Brachioplasty, also known as an arm lift or arm reduction surgery, is a surgical procedure that reduces the fat deposits and excess skin, targeting the area from the elbow to the upper arm, resulting in a more contoured, smooth and toned upper arm area.
A brachioplasty can be beneficial for both men and women who struggle with this problem.
Once the area of excess skin is marked, the surgeon will make an incision on the inner and upper arm. The excess skin is cut off and fatty tissue is often suctioned at the same time. The length of the scar is dependent on how much extra skin is removed, however this scar will be faint, and will fade over time.
Nights in hospital: 1
Duration of procedure: 4-5 hours
Recommended stay in Phuket: 10-14 days
Post-operative care: following waking up from your procedure, your arms will be bandaged and you may find a drain has been placed to assist with excess fluid removal from your incision site, also promoting better wound healing. The drains will be removed the days following your procedure. You will also be required to wear a compression garment. It is important you follow your surgeons post-operative instructions.
